TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center announced today the appointment of Jon Baker as the hospital’s new chief financial officer.

“TriStar Hendersonville is proud to welcome Jon Baker to our team,” said Regina Bartlett, chief executive officer at TriStar Hendersonville. “Baker’s previous experience as a healthcare executive and his proven leadership record will be a huge asset to our community as we continue to improve our operations, quality and patient services to meet the growing needs of Sumner County.”

Baker most recently served as the division controller for TriStar Health, a comprehensive healthcare provider with facilities in Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky and Northern Georgia. At TriStar Health, Baker worked closely with the HCA TriStar Division chief financial officer to help 22 area hospitals add the latest treatments and technology to deliver the best care possible. He has assisted with the establishment of three freestanding ERs and implementation of new services, including trauma care and wound care.

Baker began his career with HCA in 2004 at Parkridge East Hospital in Chattanooga as a controller. Since that time, Baker has held increasingly responsible financial positions, including the chief financial officer at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville. In 2012, Baker rejoined HCA as a senior finance director for performance improvement.

Baker earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
